About the Founder

For Samir Samy, the journey to Dakar started with a passion for the desert, off road driving and building vehicles capable of taking on challenging terrain.
With more than 10 years of experience in off road driving, desert adventures and vehicle preparation, Samir transformed that passion into Zeus Offroad, building a platform focused on off road vehicles, modifications and desert performance.
But the ambition did not stop there.
The next challenge was motorsport.
That vision led to the creation of Zeus Racing Team, with one clear goal: to take the team from Dubai to one of the most legendary challenges in motorsport, Dakar Classic 2027.
As Founder and Driver, Samir is personally involved in the development of the team and the preparation of The Reaper 2.0, a 2003 Porsche Cayenne S, following every stage from the workshop and vehicle transformation to desert testing and competition.
For Samir, Dakar is more than a race. It represents the evolution of more than a decade of passion, experience and determination.
From building Zeus Offroad to establishing Zeus Racing Team, the mission continues to grow.

Zeus Racing Team is a professional cross-country rally team based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with one clear objective: competing in the Dakar Classic 2027.
Founded by passionate motorsport professionals, the team combines decades of experience in desert racing, engineering, digital media, and international rally operations.
Our ambition extends far beyond a single event. We are building a long-term motorsport platform that brings together performance, innovation, education, and strategic partnerships while promoting Middle Eastern talent on the global stage.

Meet the Team
Strategy, driving, navigation, and pit-side precision — one unit aiming for Dakar Classic 2027.
Driver
An experienced off-road driver with more than 10 years of desert driving experience, specializing in cross-country rally competition, vehicle development, endurance driving, and technical feedback. His extensive knowledge of desert terrain plays a vital role in preparing the team for Dakar Classic.
Co-Driver
An internationally respected French rally navigator with more than 30 years of experience in international rally navigation. Alain brings world-class expertise in navigation strategy, roadbook interpretation, race planning, and endurance rally competition.
Team Manager
A motorsport professional with more than 10 years of experience in rally raid, cross-country rallies, Baja events, motorsport marketing, sponsorship management, media production, and team operations. Moataz leads the strategic planning, partnerships, sponsorship development, logistics, media, and overall management of Zeus Racing Team.
Mechanic
Placeholder for our competition mechanic — keeping the Reaper race-ready through workshop builds, desert tests, and stage service under extreme conditions.
Electrical
Placeholder for our electrical specialist — power systems, wiring integrity, navigation and timing electronics, and reliable energy management across long stages.
Logistics
Placeholder for our logistics lead — international transport, spare parts flow, timelines, and the operational backbone that gets the team from Dubai to the start line.
The Car
At the heart of Zeus Racing Team is our purpose-built 2003 Porsche Cayenne S (955), transformed into a Dakar Classic competition vehicle.

What is Dakar Classic 2027?
The Dakar Classic brings the spirit and heritage of the legendary Dakar Rally to historic and iconic vehicles, challenging crews across the demanding landscapes of Saudi Arabia.
Unlike a conventional speed race, Dakar Classic combines regularity, navigation, precision, endurance, mechanical reliability and teamwork. Success is not simply about being the fastest. It is about consistency, accurate navigation, vehicle management and bringing both car and crew through one of motorsport’s toughest adventures.
The 2027 edition will be the seventh Dakar Classic and will take place from 1 to 15 January 2027, alongside the 49th edition of the Dakar Rally.
The 2027 Dakar route covers a total of 7,075 km, including 5,320 km of special stages for the main Dakar competition. Dakar Classic follows its own dedicated course, featuring nearly 3,900 km of selective sections, with approximately 90% of its route being new for 2027.
The adventure starts and finishes at King Abdullah Economic City on Saudi Arabia’s Red Sea coast.
